The liquid injection molding process will shoot the rubber by way of a two part pressure pump and mixing system directly into the injection molding machine’s nozzle and barrel. Keep in mind, an injection mold must have the capability to withstand high pressures.

During the liquid injection molding operation, preheated rubber is injected through the barrel & nozzle assembly via sprue holes and the runners and into the mold cavity. Molds in an injection machine are attached to the clamps of the machine causing it to open and close with the clamps, Accurate alignment between the mold and the machine is crucial.
